“Arcane” y “Robot Salvaje” Se Roban la Noche en Los N°52 Annie Awards.

Anoche se realizaron los que, para muchos, son los premios más importantes de la industria de la animación, los Annie Awards.

Fue una gala que este año tuvo un foco especial puesto en los devastadores incendios que azotaron al estado de California y afectaron a muchos miembros de la industria que residen en Los Ángeles. Con esto en mente fue que se anunció AnimaAID, una campaña benéfica para recaudar fondos que lleguen a las familias que perdieron su hogar.

Esta edición N°52 tuvo sus momentos más inesperados por fuera de las premiaciones. La ceremonia tuvo que ser interrumpida a la mitad debido a una alarma de incendios, marcando una de las primeras interrupciones en la historia de los Annie. Afortunadamente, no hubo mayores complicaciones, todos estaban bien y el evento se reanudó poco después, pero no dejó de ser un momento curioso.

Hubo dos grandes ganadores en este evento que premió lo mejor de la animación en 2024.

En series, “Arcane”, tuvo un domino claro. Ganando los 7 premios a los que estaba nominada y reafirmando que no solo fue un éxito de audiencias, sino también un triunfo con los críticos

En películas animadas, fue “Robot Salvaje” quien acumuló la mayor cantidad de galardones. Con un total de 9 premios, la película dirigida por Chris Sanders ganó todas las categorías a las que estaba nominada. Incluso llegó a hacerse con el reconocimiento a mejor director, el cual no era seguro porque Gints Zilbalodis, director de Flow, también estaba nominado.

Disney tuvo una noche más dura a las que está acostumbrada. Su película bandera para esta temporada de premios, Intensamente 2, no logró llevarse ni un solo reconocimiento. Sin embargo, fueron las series animadas las que permitieron que la empresa del ratón celebrara. “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” y la serie spin-off de Intensamente, “Dream Productions” se llevaron dos Annie cada una.
